Comments on delegated functions

The scope of the authorisations as detailed in 2. Functions delegated by the Authorisation pertains to ships classed by the applicable RO,  unless otherwise stated, registered in the Norwegian International Ship Register (NIS-annex I to the Agreement). The scope of the functions delegated by Norway for ships classed by the applicable RO and registered in the Norwegian Ordinary Ship Register (NOR –annex II to the Agreement) are more limited. 
For ships registered in NOR initial surveys and certificates required by SOLAS, LL and Tonnage conventions are issued by the Norwegian Adminstration, except certificates required by the IBC and BCH Codes which are authorised the RO. Initial surveys and certificates required under the MARPOL convention are also delegated. Annual, intermediate and periodic surveys as applicable, are delegated for all relevant certificates.
